Glass Replacement

Broken, cracked, or foggy glass replaced without replacing the window.

A broken pane does not mean a new window. In most homes the frame, sash, and hardware are still perfectly sound, and the only thing that actually failed is the glass. We measure precisely, remove the damaged glass safely, and fit new glass into your existing window, sealed and glazed so it performs like it should.

We handle single panes and sealed double-pane units alike. If your glass is foggy rather than broken, that is a failed seal rather than damaged glass, and our thermal seal repair service covers it. Either way the fix happens in your existing frame.

Every quote is free and includes the glass, labour, new seals and glazing, and cleanup. If the sash hardware is worn, we can sort that in the same visit alongside window hinge repair or a balance replacement, so the whole window works properly when we leave.

We stock common sizes and order custom glass when needed, usually only a few business days. Serving North Bay, Callander, and the surrounding communities.

FAQ

Glass Replacement: questions we hear most.

Straight answers from the person who does the work. If yours is not here, call and we will talk it through.

Can you replace just the glass without replacing the whole window?
Yes, that is exactly what we specialize in. If the frame and sash are in good condition, we replace only the glass, which costs a fraction of a full window replacement.
How long does glass replacement take?
If we have the size in stock, most replacements are completed in one to two hours. Custom or specialty glass usually takes a few business days to arrive, and we return to install it as soon as it does.
Do you replace double-pane (sealed unit) glass?
Yes. We replace complete sealed units in double and triple-pane windows, including foggy units where the seal has failed. The new unit restores both clarity and insulation.
Can I upgrade to more energy-efficient glass?
Yes. We can match the energy rating of your existing windows or upgrade to more efficient glass while we are at it, which helps with heating costs through North Bay winters.
Is a small chip worth fixing?
Usually, yes. Chips and small cracks tend to spread with temperature swings, especially over winter. Replacing the pane early is cheaper than dealing with a shattered unit later.
